The Travel Agent Website Case Study
A user and competitor audit was completed early to identify at least three pain points independent travel agents have with products they used to book trips for clients. The study revealed that the biggest pain point is getting a timely response from suppliers and locating suppliers that responded in enough time to book clients trips. The second pain point is that there is no formal way to store client details and records without agents creating and making their own storage method.
Much like the app, the website is designed to provide a solution for both pain points and to help travel agents increase their sales and clientele substantially. Below, are a few key details used to create this product. I hope you enjoy exploring my project as much as I enjoyed making it.
The Product
The Travel Agent website provides a places for agents and their potential suppliers, like hotel and cruise chains, to connect and partner up to provide services for their intended clients. In addition, the website stores suppliers information and records their approximate response time so agents can make informed decisions when planning trips for clients or updating their files. Allowing agents to see the approximate response times better equips them to provide better service and increase revenue.

The website also provides a location for agents to store records and documents for their clients and future business needs. Most importantly, the website mimics the features of the Travel Agent app to allow more users access to this incredible product.

The Problem
Project Goal
Travel agents, my target users, are faced with setbacks and dilemmas when contacting suppliers to complete booking trips for their clients. Some agents prefer to use computers to complete important tasks like this; therefore, a place was needed to not only contact suppliers, but to also store records of contact between the agent, the suppliers, and clients.
Create a website that allows agents to locate responsive suppliers and efficiently contact them, while storing and organizing client information.
Meet Lanette! The persona.
Lanette is a dedicated mother and part time travel agent that wants to be able to contact multiple suppliers and store these correspondence in a safe and secure location
This is Lanette's user Journey detailing her experience prior to the creation of this app. Ultimately, I studied the path that Lanette would take, based on previous research and interviews, and documented the potential emotion each task brought Lanette.

After analyzing the research, synthesizing it, and using it to create Lanette, my next task was to complete a sitemap to structure and organize how the features will be presented to users.
The Wireframes
After creating the sitemap, it's important for me to build how the pages may look. These sketches helped me formulate better ideations of the potential display of the features the website holds.
The Results
Based on the project goal, the high - fidelity prototype works to solve the pain point focused on connecting and contacting one or more supplier to use for future requests from clients.

Because there is an app that was created, and mentioned, previously, and the help of material.io, I used the same color scheme and hierarchy theme for the website.

Final Thought
As more research is continues, I want to add more features on the website that make it more appealing to agents. In addition, I want to make sure that with upcoming pain points, I leave room for growth with this design.

I learned so much about travel agents and what they desired in a product that my immediately emotion was excitement. I plan on continuing my research and developing this product more to better fit the needs and pain points travel agents have.
